The 2008 Taiwan Design Expo opens in Tainan County's Hsiao-Long Cultural Park from Oct. 4 to Oct. 19. This is the third consecutive year that Tainan County hosted the annual Taiwan Design Expo. An estimated 390,000 visitors attended the show in 2007.

The event is jointly held by the Industrial Development Bureau under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) of Taiwan and the Tainan County government. The 13 pavilions include the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion, the International Design Pavilion, the Art Craft and Designer's Pavilion, the Creative Life Pavilion, the Dream Vision Pavilion and the Japan Universal Design Experience Pavilion.

On display will be the latest works by designers from Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Germany and France. Six Pacific bicycles are selected and shown in Taiwan Excellence Pavilion (Pavilion 4) and Dream Vision Pavilion (Pavilion 2), including the award-winning IF Mode, Birdy, Handy handcycle, and Reach SL(super light), 8" CarryAll tricyle, CarryMe.
