Pacific Cycles held the groundbreaking ceremony for its Third Factory on the morning of Saturday, May 18, 2024, at its First Factory site in Xinwu, Taoyuan. The plan is to gradually renovate the existing facilities. The estimated total cost for Phase One is NT$300 million, with the main building expected to be completed by 2025.

Chairman Michael Lin stated that Pacific Cycles is committed to environmental sustainability. In 2023, the company completed an organizational carbon audit and launched a new carbon-reduction business model for bicycles. Through cross-industry collaboration, Pacific Cycles aims to achieve new milestones. Amid the ever-changing market environment, the company is pleased to share its factory construction plans and looks forward to continuously challenging itself and embracing new opportunities.

Founder George Lin added that Pacific Cycles continues to create impressive products and will adopt more environmentally friendly production methods in the future to meet the expectations of all bicycle enthusiasts.

Pacific Cycles was founded in 1980 by Mr. George Lin, who built the company step by step in the Yong'an Industrial Park, Taoyuan. Upholding the business philosophy of "finding oneself, standing firm, preferring to be small rather than large, and being true to oneself," Pacific Cycles gradually expanded from Taoyuan, Taiwan to the global bicycle market, achieving fruitful results.

In 2022, Michael succeeded as chairman. Responding to the demands of the new era and corporate sustainability, he is leading Pacific Cycles into its 2.0 era. The third factory is planned to be rebuilt on the site of the original first factory. The two-phase construction project will create a new production facility covering more than 5,000 ping (approximately 16,500 square meters), establishing a next-generation manufacturing base that integrates "smart production,""circular sustainability,"and"environmental friendliness." This transformation and upgrade aim to meet the challenges of future markets.

Regarding the factory reconstruction, Pacific Cycles has made production adjustments to ensure that customers will not be affected by the construction work. Planned new products will also be launched on schedule.
